Tyler Schifko

Please join me in congratulating Tyler Schifko, Class of 2021 Allentown Central Catholic High School, for being the eighth Stars & Stripes Lacrosse Alumni to officially commit to play in college and the fourth to commit to play NCAA Division I Lacrosse. Tyler will be playing for the University of Utah Utes in Salt Lake City, Utah. Playing for the furthest most west Division I lacrosse school, Tyler will get an opportunity to build the program into a formidable opponent that will challenge all legacy east coast schools during his tenure. Tyler was a founding player of the Stars & Stripes Lacrosse program and was an impact player on both sides of the ball as a classic two-way middie. Tyler was an offensive juggernaut, using his size and exceptional stick skills to get to the goal scoring left handed almost as often as with his dominant right. On defense, Tyler was always quick to slide with a full head of STEAM and he had the confidence to throw the rusty gate when the time was right. And you could always count on Tyler to clear the ball, even cradling behind the back if he had to. Off the field, Tyler was always optimistic and fun loving, often making his teammates laugh in the huddle even when the game was tight and stressful. When the game was on the line, Tyler always wanted the ball in his stick, and he was willing to drive, draw, and dump to an open teammate because he knew an assist was as good as a goal. We know that Tyler will represent his family and his friends with PRIDE as he excels at the next level. Brad, Donna, and Caitlyn should be very proud of the man Tyler has become and we look forward to following his collegiate career with them. “Punch-in” and “go to work”, Tyler! The world awaits! -
