Behind the Shield

We are often asked:

• What is the story behind the shield?
• Why did you pick that as your logo?
• Are you super hero or comic book fans?
• Are you a military based team?

The answer is deep rooted in our style of play.  We are a firm believer that defense wins championship.  Our strategy is centered around a team oriented, aggressive, defensive package that constantly changes to confuse the offense.  The defensive effort pays off as it creates turnovers and initiates a transition game the drives offensive production.  So the shield is a symbol of a defensive tool that can also be thrown at high speeds to create offense.

The red, white, and blue color scheme is also very purposeful.  We have players from many different clubs, recreational programs, and school teams.  These players are loyal to their home colors and we didn't want to pick a theme that seemed partial to one program over another.  So we decided that a patriotic red, white, and blue color scheme would not only be neutral - but it would be symbolism that we can collectively rally around.  After all, we are all living the "American Dream".  When our players put on their Stars & Stripes uniforms, the are unified in a common cause and mission that  elevates their play and team bond.
