MARYBETH SMITH

Please join me in congratulating Marybeth Smith, Emmaus High School, for being the first Stars & Stripes Alumni to officially commit to play collegiate women’s lacrosse. Marybeth will continue her career playing NCAA Division I Lacrosse for the La Salle University Explorers in the Atlantic 10 Conference in Philadelphia PA. Marybeth is the 25th Stars & Stripes Lacrosse Alumni to commit to play lacrosse in the NCAA and the 12th player to be selected by a Division I program. Marybeth joined the Stars & Stripes Lacrosse club the inaugural year of our girls lacrosse offering. She brought tremendous enthusiasm and passion each time she stepped on the field. She always played with a smile and her speed/ability to transition the ball up the field separated her from the competition. Marybeth played on a team of fierce competitors with tremendous talent who all knew how to have fun while playing at a high level. This team played with such heart and it was such a pleasure to coach alongside Coach Hollinger. Howard, Kim, and Eve should be very proud of her academic and athletic accomplishments and we look forward to following her collegiate career with them. “Storm the Hill”, Marybeth! The world awaits!
