Please join me in congratulating Carter Straub, The Hill School, for being the 14th Stars & Stripes Alumni in the Class of 2021 to officially commit to play collegiate lacrosse. Carter will continue his career playing NCAA Division II Lacrosse for the Bentley University Falcons in the Northeast 10 Conference in Waltham, Massachusetts. Carter is the 27th Stars & Stripes Lacrosse Alumni to commit to play lacrosse in the NCAA. Carter was a founding member of the Stars & Stripes Lacrosse program and he has always been our silent righty sniper. When the game is on the line, Carter finds another gear no matter how tired he is. His quiet intensity and strength is unmatched as he constantly pushes to get the most out of himself and his teammates. Carter is extremely coachable and often shares his strategic thoughts with the coaches as he sees the game with high lacrosse IQ. Carter always wore his stripes with such pride and we will always remember him leading us off the bus with his dad’s flag on a lacrosse shaft at Notre Dame. We know that Carter will be successful in college and in life, because we have watched him tackle challenges head on with courage and positivity. It has been an amazing pleasure to coach Carter for over a decade. Ed, Tammy, and Chandler should be very proud of the man Carter has become and we look forward to following his collegiate career with them. Go “storm the hill”, Carter! The world awaits!
